Welcome to Wisdom Watch August/September 2001
In this monthly column, Jean will address your personal questions concerning the application of Biblical principles in your life. At ChristianDiscipleship.com we are dedicated to helping our readers grow in their understanding and application of God's precepts. (Col 1:9-10)

Dear Readers,

In the April 2001 Wisdom Watch we published a letter with a question about how to love someone who continues to make poor choices in their life.

The writer's friend was a professing Christian, pregnant, and in an abusive marriage. The author of the letter was concerned and confused about what the Christ-like thing to do would be. The author of the letter recently contacted me to let me know of some new developments with her friend.

Please continue to pray for this young lady to seek the Lord in all her ways and for the safety and health of her baby.

Jean

Dear Jean,

I wanted to let you know what was happening with Heather (not her real name) whom I corresponded with you about several months ago.

She had the baby in May and it was a healthy baby boy. I talked to Heather recently and I felt something different. There was no distance or fogginess between us, just a clear line of communication. Shortly thereafter her mother contacted me to let me know that Heather had moved back to her parents house with the baby and that she is considering going back to work to pay off her debts (Her husband maxed out her credit cards). The praise report is that Heather and the baby are doing well and they are out of the abusive relationship. For now she is in a safe place and seems to be making better choices for herself and her baby.

Thankful to God for His goodness
