AND CAN IT BE THAT I SHOULD GAIN?

For the next 5 weeks (July 7 - August 4) we will be meditating on Charles Wesley's hymn, And Can It Be That I Should Gain? Wesley began writing this hymn the day after his conversion to Christ at the age of 31 in May of 1738. There are 6 original verses that Wesley penned and we will be studying 5 of them.

Personal Reflection And Meditation

And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Savior's blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain-
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

Scripture memorization (read, write and repeat):
Ephesians 2:4-5a But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ
