PRODUCING GOOD FRUIT

Personal reflection and meditation
What are you living for? What do you see as the purpose of your life? What are your goals for the future?

Meditate on and memorize (read, write and repeat) John 15:1-2 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit."

Bible Study
Based on John 15:2 what is the job of the vinedresser?

.

Read Ephesians 2:10. What is God's purpose for each of our lives? Who determines what those works will be?

.

Read Luke 6:43-45. How is a good/bad tree recognized? According to verse 45 what is the source of the good or bad fruit that is brought forth in our lives?

.

According to Psalm 51:10 what is the source of a clean/pure heart?

.

Read Luke 8:15 and Jeremiah 4:3-4. What other conditions are necessary for producing a good crop?

.

Read Galatians 5:22-23 and Matthew 25:35-36 and identify all of the fruits/works of the spirit. Write down the opposites for each fruit/good work.

.

According to Luke 8:13-14 what gets in the way of producing a good harvest?

.

Based on these scriptures what kinds of things can you expect God to prune from your life?

.
